Richard Martinez

Chief of Social Enterprise

Richard M. Martinez is Juma’s Chief of Social Enterprise and comes to the organization with over 15 years of experience in management consulting, business development and process improvement. He has a proven history of implementing strategic solutions and forging partnerships in the sports and fitness industry, health and wellness, marketing agencies and non-profit sector.

Richard is responsible for the management and growth of Juma Ventures’ nationally recognized Social Enterprise operation in nine (9) markets: San Francisco, Oakland, Santa Clara, Sacramento, Seattle, New Orleans, Atlanta, Dallas and Houston. Today, Juma holds staffing contracts with (20) Convention Centers and Professional Sports & Entertainment venues during Major League Baseball (MLB), National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Soccer (MLS) events.

Prior to joining Juma, Richard served as Executive Director at Pacific West Athletics, Northern California’s largest outdoor fitness organization. Moving on, as a corporate consultant, Richard specialized in the areas of retention, motivation, time management, goal setting, and developing total health productivity in the workplace. Mr. Martinez holds an MBA with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from the University of San Francisco and a Masters in Sports Management also from USF. He received a BS in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Richard resides in Corte Madera with his wife and two children.
