In Sacramento, we serve youth ages 18-21 who have been out of school and out of work for the last 6 months (Opportunity Youth) or have been involved in the foster care system.
In 2016, Juma expanded its social enterprise operations to Sacramento, California. Through a partnership with Legends Hospitality, Juma offers year-round employment at Golden 1 Center to Opportunity Youth.
Our Local Impact
In 2017, Juma Sacramento is employing 100 youth who will earn wages, develop career skills and receive financial education and academic support. Through Juma’s YouthConnect program, our goal is to provide low-income, high-potential youth with a pathway into future career and educational opportunities.
Juma’s vision is to build a pipeline with corporate partners to transition youth into more permanent employment.
