COVID-19 Update

Members of the Juma Community,

Many of you have already felt the impact on our communities due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are writing to let you know that Juma Ventures is actively monitoring guidance from local government agencies, community partners & venue partners. Our number one priority is our youth, staff and volunteers’ health, safety and well-being.

As you know, the majority of our Juma youth work at sports and entertainment venues. The closures of these venues, currently scheduled through March but with the potential to extend, will have a great impact on our youth’s ability to work and earn a paycheck.

Juma is actively ascertaining the situation and creating contingency plans that address the programming and financial implications of these closures.

Over the next few weeks, we will continue to closely monitor the stadiums, keep our community informed, and, above all, ensure that our young people are not exposed to any potential health risks as a result of their work.  At this time, Juma’s offices will remain open to be a place of community devoted to putting youth first.

We appreciate your support in this challenging time.

In community,

Adriane Armstrong
CEO, Juma Ventures
