I’ve actively volunteered with Juma for over 10 years and across two companies. Then I came over GuideSpark, and our previous VP of Sales got us involved in Juma, too.
We, at GuideSpark, believe in giving back to our community, and Juma’s mission is very nicely aligned with my own values. They empower youth to further their education and to be financially responsible.
As a volunteer at AT&T Park, I’ve done everything from serving hot chocolate, ice cream and hot tea, to selling corn dogs on the stands. I’ve always had lots of fun doing it.
When I see the Juma teens working 80+ games a season, I observe a fantastic work ethic, I witness their determination and motivation for something better. As a leader, this strikes a chord with me, and allows me to realize the impact that Juma has first-hand.
