I was born in India and came to San Francisco when I was 12. I joined Juma while attending Balboa High School. The idea of working at the ballpark and saving some money was really exciting. They encouraged me to have more initiative, to get my voice heard. That’s how I ended up being part of the Juma Leadership Council.
I graduated from high school in 2016, and now I’m wrapping up my freshman year at USF, where I’m studying business. My parents are super proud because I’m the first in my family to go to college. I’m very curious about physics, I’d love to take some classes and potentially pursue an engineering minor. “A dream?” I’d love to work for Google or for… NASA. The sky’s the limit!
My journey has inspired my younger brother and two cousins to join Juma. I wish them the best.
