Chief Development Officer

Andrea is a Bay Area native with 15 years’ experience in fundraising, marketing and strategic development. Prior to joining Juma Ventures, Andrea worked for diverse nonprofits across California, India and East Africa spanning issues such as disability rights, the visual arts and equal access to healthcare. She is passionate about pairing individuals and institutional partners with meaningful opportunities to support nonprofits and social enterprises.

As Chief Development Officer, Andrea designs and executes Juma’s national fundraising strategy to support its growing programs across six US sites while focusing on individual and major gifts.

Andrea holds a BS in Human and Organizational Development and a BA in Art History from Vanderbilt University. Prior to moving back to the Bay Area Andrea lived in London, England where she studied to be a certified gemologist.

She lives in San Francisco with her husband and pug. Outside of the office, Andrea can be found exploring new restaurants, reading at cafes and dreaming of her next travel adventure.
