Kendra O’Donoghue

Kendra O’Donoghue joins Juma as a social entrepreneur and former educator who has dedicated her career to supporting youth and emerging professionals, specifically in the field of education. Prior to joining Juma, she was a founding team member of a local edtech company and social enterprise where she led partnership development and program implementation. She previously served as the Silicon Valley program director for a large literacy nonprofit which provided individualized tutoring support for students in under-resourced communities. There, she led the region’s partnership development strategies, expansion efforts, and oversaw all program operations across 26 sites and nine school districts. As an educator and mentor, she founded and developed a holistic college prep program for middle school and high school students designed to provide youth with enrichment, academic support, and skill-building workshops with an emphasis on post-secondary education and promoting quality learning opportunities for all.
Kendra is a graduate of California State University – Long Beach, where she earned a degree in broadcast journalism. Born and raised in San Jose, she continues to live in the South Bay with her husband, Sean, and their two daughters.
